| As both a gallery builder and TGP owner myself, people often ask me what is the best way to make money from thumbnail gallery posts. Well, of course there is not a simple answer to that one question - but here are some personal notes on how I go about it. I must stress that these are just my own thoughts and in no way constitute any kind of hard and fast or guaranteed formula. Please use what you can... | ||
The BasicsSo, you'd like to make money by posting gallerise to TGPs, right? Well, here are some hints and tips that I hope you will find useful. Getting right back to basics, the 3 fundamental steps are:
Get trafficIn the simplest terms, getting traffic simply means putting up a web page with something on it that surfers can click on. A thumbnail gallery is just one of the many places that you can put such a link. I (the TGP webmaster) do the first step - I get traffic to come to the TGP site. Note that hotsinfulteens.com gets a higher than average proportion of traffic from search engines which is what gives it it's typically higher than average conversion rate. Qualify itOnce you've 'got' your traffic, qualifying it is probably the most important step. In this sense, qualifying means finding out what the surfer is looking for. Why is this important? Well, simply put, there is absolutely no point in sending a surfer who is looking for mature gay black men to a site featuring petite white teen girls - they are simply not going to be interested. The good news is that it is not difficult to qualify traffic. Let's step through the qualification process using a visitor to hotsinfulteens.com as an example. Ok, as far as is within my power, all traffic coming to hotsinfulteens has got there by clicking on a link that mentioned 'teen'. So, we already know that they are looking for younger rather than older. The main gallery list page, where they arrive, is further broken down into categories - so, for example, when a surfer starts to browse through the 'ebony' galleries, they are expecting to find pictures of ebony teens. Ok so far? |
Convert itNow it's over to you, the gallery poster. Converting this stream of qualified traffic (looking for ebony teens) into dollars is not difficult, but you'd be surprised how many people make some really quite fundamental mistakes. Here's how to avoid them. The title of your gallery, is all important. I don't mean that it has to be an award winning advertising slogan, it simply has to be attractive and accurate. By attractive I mean that it's probably better to say sexy petite ebony sweetheart than ebony babe. By accurate I mean that the title of your gallery must match what's actually in your gallery. Sounds obvious, right? Well, give me a doillar for every time I've seen descriptions that don't match and I'd be a very rich webmaster :) Once the surfer is looking at your gallery, you simply need to use appropriate banners and (more preferably) text links to show them a sponsor that matches everything they've told you by the links they've clicked to get to your gallery. In this case we know they're looking for petite, sweet, ebony teen girls - so, promote a sponsor that provides them with just that. Again, I wish I had a dollar for every gallery I've seen where the sponsor being advertised did not match the pictures in the gallery - in that case I'd be VERY happy - DONT stuff up here, match your gallery to your sponsor, PLEASE. Choosing a SponsorI always choose my sponsor first and then build galleries to suit the sponsor. So, choice of sponsor for me comes down to questions of reliability, integrity and track record. I mean there's no point sending your hard earnt, and by now, highly qualified traffic to a sponsor that is going to mis-count your hits, rip you off, or disappear from view just as you get listed at the hun. I also make sure that I spread myself out across a number of sponsors. I always like to ensure that no more than about 20% of my income comes from any one organisation - just in case :) Check the webmaster resources page, where I've listed the main sponsors that I use personally and some ideas on traffic flow that allow each of my surfers to see as many appropriate sponsors as possible. There's plenty of money to be made here - but do spend time planning your galleries - the difference it makes is worth literally thousands of dollars long term. Good luck. |
